5 Questions: Carolynn Carriger

1. What do you like best about your role at ClickDimensions?

My role allows me to work with different people in different departments and I enjoy that cross-team collaboration. I’m always able to learn more about ClickDimensions product offerings as well as valuable professional ideas and skills from my fellow team members. And we tend to have lots of fun working together—in general if you put a few of us together, we’re bound to have a great time while contributing to ClickDimensions’ success.

2. What is one piece of advice you would like to share with ClickDimensions customers?

We enjoy working with you not just on a professional level, but also personally. While we do want to keep a good professional tone in our communications, it’s always satisfying for us to make that personal connection as well. Something as simple as talking about the weather in our respective areas or upcoming vacation plans brings a lighter tone to the conversation. We’re always aware that we’re talking mainly about ClickDimensions functionality with you, but some of the best conversations I’ve had with customers have been when we’ve connected on a person-to-person level and we all seem to leave the conversation more satisfied. So, don’t be afraid to relax when working with support on a ticket, a product consultant on a call, or your customer success manager on check-ins. We’re a really cool group of people who want to get to know you and not just your company.

3. What’s new in your department or area of the company that’s exciting for ClickDimensions customers?

My role is actually brand new! There have been changes within ClickDimensions lately in order to help us better develop and support our product, and as a result there became a need for someone (me!) to step in and take over managing certain internal processes like documentation and training. So, right now I’m providing internal support to our customer-facing teams, allowing them in turn to better support you.

4. If you could pick three famous people to be a part of your entourage, who would you pick and why?

Audrey Hepburn, Aaron Sorkin and John Williams. Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress in part because of her subtle elegance and poise; she also seemed to have a lovely personality which I want to emulate and spending time with her would undoubtedly help. Aaron Sorkin is an amazing writer whom I admire. His work is thoughtful and intelligent, and I would love to learn from him and better understand how he approaches his work. John Williams has scored some of the best soundtracks and arranged other amazing pieces of music. In fact, I would love to have him write a theme song for me. But also, he would probably make an excellent DJ.

5. What is your favorite time of day and why?

I enjoy late evening to midnight, as the world seems very quiet then. I’m a bit of an introvert so while I can get energized being around people, those periods of time where utter silence and my dog are my only companions are just perfect. I crave those moments that allow me to think and write and just be myself.
