Whether it's an ex-girlfriend, or a song about a parking lot, you don't know what you've got until it's gone.
With many organizations upgrading to CRM 2013, Microsoft's new navigation bar is the subject of mixed reviews. In CRM 2011 you were able to easily jump back and forth to different areas of CRM because the entire sitemap was visible in the left hand navigation.
With CRM 2013, that's not the case. While there is now more space on the screen for the record you are viewing, the new navigation bar is an active dropdown menu which dynamically hides and also changes the options based upon the selected area (such as Sales, Marketing, Settings, etc.).
The ClickDimensions solution contains navigation items within the Marketing area as well as the Settings area, meaning that if a user is in the Marketing Area editing email templates, then wants to utilize that template in a nurture program, they must select the Settings area, then after the navigation loads, scroll all the way to the right, and select the nurture programs option.
What does this mean for YOU?
We are releasing this optional navigation solution to provide an alternative to the default sitemap which includes all the ClickDimensions components in a single organized area.
Visibility and access to the included components are still governed by role based security, and this alternate navigation solution is designed to be an add-on to the existing ClickDimensions solution. Previous navigation paths to the ClickDimensions entities will remain, and a new "ClickDimensions" area will be added to the sitemap, as an additional option for navigation.
