New features in the ClickDimensions drag and drop form and survey designer

ClickDimensions users are familiar with our drag and drop form and survey designer which is accessed through our web content records in the ClickDimensions settings area inside Microsoft CRM. We have just released several new features that we want to tell you about. These include:

  • Form components including CAPTCHA, HTML, separator lines, section headers and the wizard component for creating a multi-page form or survey
  • Form field icons: to make our already pretty UI even prettier we created unique icons for each form field type (marketing should be fun, right?)
  • Form field search: to allow you to search your fields if you have a lot of them
  • New form field creation on the fly: we added the ability to let you create new form fields within a form

Let’s start by taking a look at the new designer. We now have form components (i.e. CAPTCHA, etc.) as well as fields. Each form field and component has its own icon (we like cool looking icons).

Toggling between fields and components lets you see what is available. The search box lets you search the fields if you have a long list.

We can change the line and text properties to suit out style. And our CAPTCHA component works by making sure that the visitor can slide the bar from left to right (robots can’t slide which is weird because the electric slide has similarities to the robot J )…

Here is what our form looks like…

If we add our ‘wizard’ component we’ll see that the form then becomes two forms so the user can complete it in a multi-step process…

With the wizard in place the form now has two pages. The first page…

And the second. Of course, all these features are also available when designing a survey so you can now have multi-page surveys with section header, etc. Cool, eh?

You can now add HTML content into your forms using the HTML component…

I’ll add a graphic for kicks…

And here is what our form will look like…

Like what you see? Well get ready for even more features next month. Happy marketing!
