Too cool! Triggering CRM workflow based on survey responses

Imagine sending a survey and then being able to trigger any CRM workflow based on any individual response. For example, if you ask your customers to rate your service you could then trigger a follow up activity for any rating below a certain threshold. In our example we’re going to let people select one or more of our past newsletters in a list and then have the survey send the checked newsletter copies to the survey respondents. Let’s step through it:

Begin by creating a survey question listing the past newsletters. Make it check box so respondents will be able to select one or more past newsletters (multi-select)…

Next create a survey that includes your question (do this in the ClickDimensions settings area under the Web Contents entity)…

Add a link to your survey in a ClickDimensions email and send it out…

Your recipients will take your survey indicating which past newsletters they would like to receive…

As recipients answer questions survey answer records will be created…

A CRM workflow can trigger the past newsletters to be sent out in real time as the survey answer records are created…

Now that we’ve gone through that example start to think about all the possibilities created by our surveys module combined with the ability to trigger emails using CRM workflow. There is a quite a lot you can do and your data will always be in your Microsoft CRM system. Happy marketing.
