5 Questions: Kay O’Mahony

1. What do you like best about your role at ClickDimensions?

I was delighted to spend the early part of this year with ClickDimensions leading the HR processes for our new Cork office. This gave me a wonderful opportunity to gain a good understanding of ClickDimensions before assuming global HR responsibility in September. The global aspect of my HR role working with so many different nationalities is what I really enjoy most. I love that ClickDimensions is continually growing and expanding and that our people are so core to that. Day to day, I get to work with my amazing HR team supporting our fabulous employees globally across many different countries and time zones. My primary focus is making sure that our company culture and employee experience is the absolute best.

2. What is one piece of advice you would like to share with ClickDimensions customers?

Get to know our team! At every level, they are here to help and be the best and most knowledgeable representatives of ClickDimensions. We are in the process of rolling out our new company story to all ClickDimensions employees worldwide, which introduces our new company purpose, mission, vision and values. Formally aligning our team members to our story will help us to enjoy continued success as a company and in turn ensures our customers reap the benefits of that success.

3. What’s new in your department or area of the company that’s exciting for ClickDimensions customers?

ClickDimensions has always been known as a rapidly-growing company and that growth continues today. Currently, one of our big focuses is ensuring that we have all the people and resources needed to best serve our customers and partners in EMEA. The ClickDimensions global HR team also continues to support and partner for growth within our current locations and beyond, ensuring world-class service and support for all our customers, no matter where they reside.

4. Where do you live and what is your favorite thing about living there?

I live in west Cork on the southwest coast of Ireland. I am close to the sea and many beautiful beaches which I adore for walks and outdoor activities with family and friends. It is a very special place no matter what the Irish weather! I really have the best of both worlds living near the coast and working in the city.

5. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

It would have to be “never underestimate how your words and actions may affect others.” When I was promoted to my first ever team leader role, my then manager gave me this piece of advice. Being mindful of how we impact people through our daily interactions is extremely important. Always listen, be respectful and supportive.
